In ACRN, I am active in their Promotions, Music, and Programming departments.In Promotions, I have built up skills for the music industry like booking bands and setting up for our shows like Lobsterfest, Goth/Emo Prom, and other events.In Programming, I am a DJ, DJ Bubblegum Brick, who sets up playlists and manages the station’s technology for my own radio show, Taking Back Wednesday (originally Freaky Friday’s @ 5). For my show, I mainly play alternative rock/emo/metal from the 2000s as that is an area of music that I am hugely passionate and knowledgeable about!In the Music department, I help curate playlists for our station when DJ’s are not there. This includes organizing our physical music catalog, uploading music to our digital library, and creating playlists for absent DJ’s when they are not present.

I write articles based on current music or movie happenings in today’s media like album reviews, song/movie listicles, and updates on current music/movies being released. I also give in depth analysis about film soundtracks in my bi-weekly column, Soundtrack Breakdown.

At Allied Moulded Products, I handled their social media accounts by providing daily posts that promote their products, mainly with their residential products. Through this task, I became proficient with Adobe tools, such as Adobe Premiere and Adobe Express.I also learned how to conduct marketing research, like cross referencing products and organizing spreadsheets of our products, both industrial and residential. Another big task I took on was researching potential buyers across different states and businesses.Overall, I learned how to be an asset to a team of marketing professionals. I understood how to accurately and effectively communicate with one another in order to achieve success with our goals. A business takes a team, and I learned how to be a team player.

After graduating high school, I worked as a teacher’s assistant at what was called The Children’s House (now Bright Path Union) during the summer. I helped teachers and staff wherever they needed me and with whatever they needed. I took care of kids from ages less than a year old to children in elementary school. Mostly, I learned how to think quick on my feet, how to stay mindful, and, most of all, how to have fun and be creative with kids.
