Defenshield is a ballistic protection company that works with federal agencies and militaries to protect national security assets, law enforcement, and security personnel.As Sr. Business Development Manager, I am accountable for leading an agile, 2-member team to steer all aspects of business development activities – from lead generation and cultivation through sales, RFI/RFQ/RFP response, contract management, and project coordination – and generate sales of ballistic protection services, physical protection systems, and security solutions for clients within the federal, nuclear, and aviation markets.Some of my contributions include:➥ Manage pre-sales activities including requirements gathering, facility assessments, planning, and logistics oversight.➥ Articulate a compelling value proposition to catalyze capture. ➥ Conduct facility visits to analyze existing security measures, define requirements, and develop solutions that address ballistic/blast threats to people, properties, and facilities.➥ Perform on-site consultations and briefings with high-ranking government officials; develop bid packages that effectively capture product benefits, features, and differentiating factors.➥ Provide oversight throughout the entire contract lifecycle – from initiation through sourcing, installation, and project handoff.➥ Manage on-site installation teams to ensure adherence to contractual commitments.➥ Provide feedback for engineering teams to drive product design and development efforts.➥ Manage project budgets and control program risk.➥ Developed niche products for the federal, nuclear, and aviation industries.➥ Manage multi-million-dollar government contracts; achieved the highest revenue figures for company➥ Negotiated deals with 20+ federal agencies, 15 nuclear power plants and 23 domestic airports; major increase in market share➥ Increased annual contract volume from one airport to 23 US airports.
