I am an experienced Applied Mathematician / Data Analyst who has designed and built many computer planning models for the largest dairy, meat, oil, cement, and aviation companies in New Zealand and Australia. I enjoy working with senior managers on problems like investment, production planning, location and distribution scheduling. My usual tools are advanced analytical methods like forecasting, simulation, statistics, and optimization. I have extensive experience on many types of computers, and have used a wide range of languages and packages, including SAS, Excel and Power BI tools. I am passionate about interactive graphics that help users manipulate, understand and exploit their large datasets. I have many years’ experience in commercial presentations, and conference talks to national and international audiences. I have lectured at Canterbury and Victoria Universities. I was Treasurer and President of the Operations Research Society of New Zealand for 12 years.
