I am a dedicated, invested individual with a proven history of management experience. I have worked in transportation, material handling, warehousing, inventory management, logistics and planning as well as production supervision. I bring leadership, experience, insight to the process and human resource management. I excel in supervisory roles. Most recently I worked as a production supervisor at Mariposa Dairy. Part of my success comes from having started from the bottom and having worked my way up. I began my career in the Transportation industry loading trucks and working the docks for a national carrier. I qualified for my AZ and continued my road of personal progress. I drove transport for 10 years and at the same time learned computing and the skills needed to progress through dispatch positions into more advanced supervisory positions including Operations Supervisor at a 123 dock facility in Pickering Ontario.In 2000 I joined Meyers Transport as a Project Coordinator, Operations Analyst and Corporate Cargo Claims Manager. In that time I was responsible for successfully designing a dispatch software that was user friendly and facilitate the pickup and delivery of over 1000 LTL & TL shipments a day across multiple terminals on their network. After 5 years in this role I was promoted to Terminal/Regional Manager for Peterborough Cobourg & Lindsay. In this role I was responsible for total operations and customer service for this areal. In addition to my professional qualifications, I volunteered with Scouts Canada and ended up being a leader as well as a trainer. I also enlisted with the Canadian Armed Forces as a Reserve Officer and worked with the Royal Canadian Army Cadets. We had a corps of up to 100 cadets of ages 12 - 18. As a Reservist I trained in Supply, Instruction, HR and Conflict Management. This training accentuated the skills I already had in my civilian career.
