I manage the Convention Center Expansion and Headquarters Hotel Project for Broward County. The total cost of the project is approximately $1.3 billion dollars. The Convention Center expansion project will add an additional 525,000 square feet of meeting, ballroom and central kitchen space, as well as an upscale 800-room four diamond hotel, four restaurants, a rooftop bar, an outdoor amphitheater and plaza amenities. Once completed, this project will take full advantage of this scenic location on the Intracoastal Waterway, focused on a mix of activities associated with the Intracoastal and nearby Port Everglades, consistently ranked as one of the three busiest cruise ports in the U.S.

Cleveland/Akron, Ohio Area

My duties at Cleveland State University included both my role as the University Architect and Director of Planning Design & Construction, in addition to overseeing the Facilities organization. Departments and functions for which I was responsible included: Operations & Maintenance, Grounds, Utilities, Motor Pool, Custodial, Building Trades, Real Estate, Sustainability, Moving & Hauling, Mail Service, the Facilities Coordination Center and Administration & Contracts.Through my direct reports, I oversaw over one hundred in-house and contract employees as well as being responsible for a twenty-one million-dollar annual budget. I was in regular contact with both the University President and the Chief Financial Officer, in addition to the Provost and multiple Vice-Presidents.

Cleveland/Akron, Ohio Area

As the Director of Planning Design and Construction and University Architect for the Office of the University Architect, I oversaw a talented staff of architects, engineers, planners and interior designers who manage the planning, design and construction of all new buildings and renovations at the university. Some of my duties included strategic university-wide master and space planning, overseeing OUA department operational budgets, hiring personnel, conducting performance reviews and providing continual employee mentoring and training, as well as on-going reporting to the university administration and the Board of Trustees on planning, design and construction projects throughout the campus.

Blacksuburg, Va

During 17 years with University Design and Construction at Virginia Tech, my multiple positions included the following responsibilities; supervision of in-house project managers and field personnel as the Director of Design Services, integration of new buildings into the broader master plan of the campus as the Associate Director of Planning, selection and oversight of numerous outside architects, engineers and general contractors, continuous communication with the university community and external agencies, personal management from initial programming through close-out of $10MM - $90MM research laboratory, academic, office, historic renovation and student life projects each consistently on schedule and on budget.In addition, I was one of the founding members of the Virginia Tech Sustainability and Climate Action Committee.
