Managed the start-up, qualification, and capacity filling of the first full- duplex laser welder installation in North America. Achieved a smooth start-up of the Jeep Liberty program and business from General Motors and Mercedes Benz. Directed laser welding process optimization for a variety of dissimilar body structure materials from mild steel to Advanced High Strength Steels up to 1000 MPa tensile strength.
