4 years (1979-1983) Military experience with the United States Marine Corps. MOS=0341 Infantry Motorman. Forward Observer attached to a Infantry Company. Called in indirect fire on pre-established targets or targets of opportunity. Meritoriously promoted to PFC, Corporal, and Sergeant. Spent 1.5 years in the Mediterranean, with a Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), training with aligned countries military and making port stops in the region to include Spain, France, Italy, Greece, Turkey, Yemen, Kenya, Egypt, Tunisia, and finally Beirut Lebanon as part of the Multinational Peacekeeping Units from 1982 to 1984.25 years teaching in Higher Education which included positions at Eastern Kentucky University, Hampton University, Carson-Newman University, and ending at Western Kentucky University. Department Chair at Carson-Newman University and Western Kentucky University. Taught and presented research in the countries of Spain, Denmark, & China. Lead development of Sport Management curriculums at Hampton University and Western Kentucky University.
