I am a research driven geoscientist applying cross disciplinary innovative techniques to solve complex problems in 4D. Founding Director of Tectoniq, a high Tech mineral exploration company using proprietary mineralisation models and predictive tools combined with conventional field geology in the quest for new energy transition resources.I am also the Founder of Bruce Schaefer Consulting, a company aimed at adding geochemical expertise and value to groups who have a wealth of data and are time poor or lack appropriate in-house expertise. Interpretation of such data in a real world geological context allows low-cost informed exploration and development decision making.I draw heavily on an isotopic (geo)chemical perspective woven with a “hard rock” geology background to develop new technologies and approaches. I have a track record of both pure and applied research across igneous, economic, groundwater, extraterrestrial, environmental and hydrocarbon geochemistry. However, at the end of the day, the field is key to understanding complex systems.I am also an ardent communicator and educator, and the publication of my book to aid industry professionals in the use of isotopic data is (I hope!) the first in a number of steps in aiding researchers and explorers to minimise costs and maximise understanding of complex systems.
