Acquisition Program Manager

Principal advisor to the commander on all issues related to the enlisted force. Advises the commander on a wide range of topics including the health, esprit de corps, discipline, mentoring, well-being, career progression, professional development, and recognition of all assigned members. Works with fellow senior noncommissioned officers and supervisory personnel to ensure discipline is equitably maintained, and the health, esprit de corps, discipline, mentoring, and welfare of the enlisted force are met. Ensures supervisors set an appropriate example for subordinates. Ensures training is provided on matters of leadership, customs and courtesies, dress and personal appearance, self-discipline, adherence to standards, drill and ceremony, safety, hygiene, and sanitation. Supports and promotes professional military education activities. Monitors unit sponsorship programs and conducts orientation for newly assigned personnel. Supervises administrative actions directed by the commander. Performs quality force review and ensures timely processing of performance reports, awards, decorations, promotions, demotions, classification actions, quality control actions, and disciplinary actions.

Manages Information Management and Commander's Support Staff functions for six flights. Unit's Functional Area Records Manager (FARM); establishes, maintains, purges and disposes of files and records IAW regulations and procedures. Complies with Privacy Act (PA) and Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) procedures and provides assistance to ensure others comply. Provides PA, FOIA, and records management training. Performs updates in Personnel Concepts III (PCIII) and other military actions to include gains and losses updates, change of rating official, and duty status reporting as required. Serves as the focal point for incoming and outgoing classified material and trains newly assigned personnel on proper handling of classified material. Manages commander’s call program, retirement/promotion ceremonies, military training, and unit fitness program. Manages electronic and manual publications and forms development, design, control, storage, and dissemination. Implements procedures for manual and electronic creation, control, coordination, dissemination, and disposal of administrative communications. Provides IM support. Assists the support staff with a range of tasks including records management; administrative communications; information flow including processing, controlling, and distributing mail; and publishing management. Operates information systems (stand alone and networked) to create, collect, use, access, disseminate, maintain, and dispose of information.
