A new role created by the Global restructure of the company with an emphasis on Business Development and responsibility for developing Regional Strategies, identifying strategic partners, developing Special Mission opportunities and top level project management of key programmes.Developed a Special Mission strategy for the region and the main point of contact and relationship manager for the UK MoD and other Industry partners relating to this. Key Achievements:• Secured over £50 M of new and repeat business for the UK Service Centre.• Negotiated and secured new long term base maintenance agreement with Netjets Europe.• Won & managed the on time delivery of Urgent Operational Requirement contract through BAE Systems for Military conversion of two BAE146 aircraft for the UK MoD.• Established a Special Projects Team, Office, Project Management & New Business Capture Process.• Managed the bid & proposal effort for £100M of new business opportunities.• Developed High Visual Management tools and techniques to aid programme execution.

As the Director and General Manager I was responsible for the overall leadership, management, strategic development and performance of the organisation to achieve the group corporate objectives. I was also the accountable manager for all the FAA & EASA design, maintenance, training and production approvals and the Chief Executive for the UK MoD Design and Test Flying approvals.I grew the organisations sales and profit from £15M & £470k to a peak of £43M and £4.5M with a total headcount of 400 employees supporting our products in the EMEA region. This was achieved through maximising existing organisation strengths, reputation and relationships and then capturing increased market share and value, developing new market opportunities and delivering sustained and significant improvements in quality, service delivery and productivity.

After supporting the acquisition activities for my parent company, ESNAD, I joined the in house team. Developed and implemented a 5 year business plan for the organisation to take it forward as a high quality service provider in the region and started to develop and capture new business opportunities. Key Achievements:• Re-structured and rationalised management and work force structure reducing headcount by 40% while maintaining the same service capacity.• Developed policies and processes to manage the business in a more efficient and effective manner.• Brought in skilled engineering and management personnel to improve quality and performance.• Developed a completely new aircraft management business and secured 6 large business jet management contracts.• Secured several high profile maintenance and handling contracts.

Originally managed the aircraft Service Centre supporting the Royal Saudi Air Force fleet of HS125 VIP aircraft then promoted to Director of Aviation to support the companies’ strategic acquisition plans in the region.As part of an acquisition deal I transferred to ARABASCO Ltd in Jeddah.
