One person can only do so much, but what one person can achieve is astonishing. Wisdom and intelligence can only be developed through the hard work of applying them day in and day out. I've spent my working life in the classroom, in the writers' room, managing publishing departments, on design teams, in marketing teams, and trying to hustle up freelance jobs. Not every job or interaction went smoothly. I've struggled to push through writers' block, faced institutional hurdles, language barriers, and global crises to achieve what I do and continue to strive towards; in this life, to positively affect as many people as possible. On that count, I'm fortunate to be ahead. I have been privileged to have been afforded a mid-life career change from the field of educational publishing into a role as a software marketer. As I have grown and learned on the job, every day brings new challenges, but I continue to apply hard work to the good ideas of colleagues and coworkers who I'm lucky to have, value, and trust around me.
