This was a completely new technology for Osborn, which required research into transport requirements, client expectations, component sourcing and the adaption of many industry standards in order to allow the plant to be compressed into the transportable package. I was the design engineer for the project, and I worked closely with a design draughtsman to get the drawings completed with production complete within 6 months. I was responsible for all the hand calculations relating to mass estimate and power draw, as well as most of the structural design. I also worked with the manufacturing team to take the machine through commissioning and on to field servicing. This machine was followed by a cone crusher plant.
