As a key member of the senior leadership team I was focused on unifying customer experience, brand purpose, creative communication, sales promotion, and marketing technology. I provided complete oversight of corporate and product branding, digital & traditional marketing, event planning, public relations, community outreach programs, and corporate social responsibility. It was my job to work closely with FLIR businesses leaders to develop comprehensive marketing strategies, and designed, developed and implemented effective processes for managing successful multi-channel and multi-segment marketing campaigns with a keen focus on data, performance metrics, and ROI. I also spearheaded a successful digital transformation initiative of the organization's performance marketing engine to optimize each stage of the customer journey from awareness to advocacy.

While in this role I established an enterprise-class in-house creative marketing agency that successfully managed the launch and continued promotion of hundreds of FLIR products and services. I also directed the design and roll-out of the refreshed FLIR brand identity, brand positioning and brand experience across all FLIR touch points. I led the crack team responsible for the design, development and management of FLIR's enterprise-level website, e-commerce website, and partner sites.

As the lead marketing professional for this business I helped launch the world's first micro thermal camera module and positioned the brand for integration in some of the biggest ruggedized industrial smart phones on the market. We launched and created several successful awareness campaigns across both paid and earned media channels for the category-busting FLIR ONE, the world's first thermal camera for cell phones. I worked on the retail distribution marketing program for FLIR ONE with major retail brands like Apple, Best Buy & Home Depot, as well as the design of all retail packaging in 8 languages. We pioneered unique awareness campaigns and hack-a-thon programs that drove successful engagement with the development community for both Lepton and FLIR ONE.

In this role I was responsible for marketing strategy and execution for all chemical, biological, radiological and explosives detection products for FLIR. Working hand-in-glove with sales, business development and product management I supported direct go-to-market and distribution models for a wide portfolio of highly technical products.

After joining FLIR as part of the acquisition of ICx Technologies I assumed the role of Creative Director for the Government Systems Division marketing team. I was responsible for the marketing communications strategy for all airborne, land, and maritime thermal product lines. I managed the development of all creative content, trade show assets and messaging, paid media campaigns, and video production in support of government, defense and commercial sales.

After the acquisition of Nomadics by ICx Technologies I reported directly to the CEO and was focused on establishing the ICx brand strategy and managing the brand identity transition of all 16 founding companies. I was also instrumental in establishing the marketing strategy to support and drive an ambitious sales pipeline. I worked closely with the executive team to development the marketing and communications strategy that helped propel ICx to an IPO in 2007, and then ultimately the acquisition by FLIR in 2010.

I was recruited from the UK to establish and grow the creative marketing organization for this tech startup, with a primary focus on commercializing and promoting products initially developed with US DoD funding into global defense and industrial markets. We helped Nomadics launch several successful products and before ultimately being acquired by ICx Technologies.
