- Engage with a cross-business team (EMC and VMware) to deliver SDDC Reference Architecture & Design to joint customer base of EMC & VMware.- Represent the Management Business Unit in an initiative to build a VMW/EMC private cloud common reference architecture. The initiative will create a: · o Mutual reference design to provide the field, channel & customers · o Based on real world customer use cases including EMC-VMware joint customers · Architect and develop customer solutions based on current hands-on knowledge of the VMware and EMC product lines, storage, networking, management, and associated customer business processes. Specific emphasis on Cloud management related solutions as well as: vSphere, vCloud Director, vCloud Automation Center, vCenter Operations Management Suite, ITBM, and vFabric Application Director · Partner with Product Development for progressive integration solutions to requirements · Ability to travel periodically and spend time interacting with the team building the EMC cloud solutions. · Gather detailed business and technical requirements from customers and field teams · Provide architectural guidance for integration of VMware and EMC products. · Partner with EMC customer technical staff to architect management solutions based on current hands-on knowledge of the VMware management tools and associated customer business processes · Participate as required in the MBU partner/customer engagement process to understand customer business and technical objectives and product requirements, in order to create and deliver the combined EMC/VMware reference solutions. · Enable the EMC and VMware field and customers on the resulting reference solutions. · Adept at public speaking and supporting various customer enablement and partner events · Build and maintain the confidence of colleagues, managers, and customers
