We build, design and operate the critical foundation and systems that power our most important research, development and online production systems focused on creation of differentiated algorithmic capabilities. My org's responsibilities include-Real-Time Recommendations Platform : Critical systems involved in Serving personalized recommendations-Data Infrastructure (Realtime & Batch) : Powering the research, analysis, cleaning and long term storage of our data assets-Research Tooling : Efficient and Timely Orchestration & scheduling of business critical, reporting and analytics, and research/training pipelines-Online Algorithmic Platform purpose built for MLOps & experimentation-Algorithmic Observability to gain detection and insight into the quality of our models-Algorithmic Edge providing strong API interfaces & systems for our client facing personalization models ensuring low latency while maximizing computational budget.

Drove and navigated the broad cross-functional transition for how Netflix approached Site Reliability by evolving a traditional 24/7 Network Operations Center approach to a modern DevOps culture. Chartered, built and led multiple high impact teams to achieve the transition. Crisis Response Engineering - building real-time collaboration tooling, driving blameless and accountable post-mortems, using outage data to surface trends to help guide architectural decisionsDevice Lab Services - Took a team of one and single device lab and expanded to a team of 4 and ownership of all device labs at Netflix. Redesigned device labs to be efficient, maintainable, flexible to support Netflix's expansion internationally, across the device landscape, and into Cable Providers. Improved overall product quality by having a focused lab services organization allowed teams to free up time and resources to engineer the experience of testing with different devices/countries/networks. 1-2 hours of troubleshooting to complete white glove service. Labs became a critical part of the success in launching any new aspect of Netflix.
