Bruce Simms is a licensed professional structural engineer with over 30 years of experience in the design, project management, and installation of all types of fall protection systems. These systems were utilized in the manufacturing, warehousing, government, and commercial sectors. He is registered as a structural engineer in twenty-seven states, and a general contractor in nine states.Bruce previously served as Vice President of Specialty Services - which included responsibilities for ITAC's Safety department, Custom Machinery Division, PEMB Division, and the Fall Protection Division. In his role with Fall Protection he published an article in Facility Safety Management and presented several technical sessions at ASSE's Annual Safety Convention and NSC's Congress & Expo events.He is an instructor for OSHA Authorized Worker, OSHA Competent Person, and OSHA Qualified person instructor. He is a contributing co-author and editor of "Introduction to Fall Protection" - 3rd & 4th Editions.His fall protection experience has included both the design/analysis side and the fabrication/installation/training side providing a well rounded knowledge base for solutions that satisfy code requirements and client needs.Specialties: Fall Protection
