About Michael Brüning

Registered professional civil engineer (in the States of California, Arizona) with a BSCE from The University of Arizona, specializing in Hydrology, Hydraulics and Environmental Engineering. 30-years of detailed design and team leadership experience in Civil Engineering in both the Public and Private Sector.Started career at the City of Tucson Transportation/Engineering Department back in 1994 reviewing grading/site plans, drainage reports and subdivision design. I was also a member of the Community Design Review Committee assisting with transportation-related improvements to commercial sites and residential subdivisions.Current Specialties: Freeway & interchange design (Caltrans), trolley and high speed rail, roadway, drainage, grading, floodplain, stormwater. I’ve also been involved in numerous design-build projects the last 20-years. The drainage engineering lead on complex projects in several Caltrans districts (San Diego, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Riverside, Kings County).
