PhD Student with a Masters in Bioinformatics and Computer Science (2015) from University of Lisbon, currently enrolled in a PhD course on Information Systems and Computer Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico, University of Lisbon, where I'm developing machine learning algorithms to predict miRNA precursores and targets. I participated in the ProCoGen Project, where he developed an information pipeline to analyse miRNA data. Afterwards, I was involved in the ELIXIR-Excelerate project where I collaborated on the development of the MIAPPE standard and implemented the Portuguese BrAPI endpoint (Pheno). I am currently involved in other noteworthy international collaborations, such as the ELIXIR staff exchange to develop an interface for MIAPPE submission, and the ELIXIR Knowledge Exchange Scheme (EKES).My interests are in genomics, databases, data-mining and web design.
