Began my journey a week after high school when I decided to join the Marine Corps to develop a new sense of purpose in life. The Marine Corps taught me to be responsible and it helped me mature. Right now I am working, going to school, and am still in the military as a reservist because I learned to be able to balance all the things that are important and matter to me in my life. I’m a student at Cabrillo College with the ambition of transferring to Cal Ploy SLO to get a bachelors degree in Civil Engineering. This won’t be an easy journey due to the fact that I’m working as well as going to school and taking rigorous courses. But with the right mindset and with the support of my friends and family I’ll be able to accomplish my goals.
