Consultancy in the following specialized areas:- Marine Fisheries and Bycatch- Marine Conservation- Data Analysis- Capacity DevelopmentMain Projects and Duties:- Consultant for Food and Agricultural Organization (FAO, 2021-) as Fisheries management and assessment Specialist: Lead or contribute to relevant studies, publications and analyses, knowledge products and dissemination materials related to areas of work of Fisheries and Aquaculture Division, including capacity development and training materials, or similar products. Organize and participate in field missions and other events in support of the delivery of NFI’s programme of work, including for consultation, training, capacity building and technical assistance to beneficiaries of FAO support programmes and projects;- Consultant for WWF Portugal (2019): Responsible for the coordination and stakeholders involvement for the mitigation of seahorse illegal harvesting, in the south of Portugal. Outcomes: two protected areas for seahorses located in central areas of their habitat.- Consultant for OceanCare (2015 - 2019): Species distribution modeling of visual and acoustic data of dedicated surveys to study cetacean distributions in the south of France. Environmental and anthropogenic data collection, management and process. Elaboration of data visualization maps. Publications preparation. Outcomes: Reports, scientific article: https://doi.org/10.1016/j.ecoinf.2020.101092- Consultant for Sustainable Fisheries Partnership (2016, 2021): Assistance with migration of fisheries scientific content from the legacy FishSource database to the new database structure. Review and update of scientific content of 400 fishery and target species profiles, from several sources (eg. ICES, MSC certification reports, national management and stock assessment reports).- Consultant for Kai Marine Services (2013-2015): Visual Survey Coordinator. Responsible for collecting ecological and biological data and identification of cetaceans, marine turtles and seabird species, using visual linear transects. Data analysis.
