Oversaw the transformation of the company's data culture, establishing and leading a skilled team of six engineers, including four data engineers and two data scientists. Enhanced the preceding system, which, after three years of development, handled legal data from approximately 100 counties. Within just over a year, the revamped process incorporated cutting-edge data engineering and machine learning/deep learning techniques, enabling daily extraction and processing from over 500 counties and several states across the US.For data engineering tasks, the solution was designed using a Serverless architecture, supplemented with containers and Kubernetes where necessary. The system served data via AWS Redshift and OpenSearch. As for data science capabilities, Kubernetes and spot instances equipped with neuron cores powered a highly scalable environment, running seven production-level deep learning models—six focused on natural language processing (NLP) and one on computer vision. The efficient promotion pipeline handled over 100GB of data inference daily.
