Dallas/Fort Worth Area

As a former Army Aviator, I've taken my passion for safety and standards to SAM as the head of the UAS team. All aviators throughout the company, in all locations, operate under the same safety guidelines, training and currency requirements, and performance based standards. Our SOP, Aircrew Training Manual, and Risk Assessment, as part of our Aviation.

Dallas/Fort Worth Area

I managed Flight Operations for SAM, LLC, including Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS), and Fixed Wing and Rotary Wing aerial surveying, mapping, and LiDAR data acquisition on manned aircraft. Created a streamlined electronic submission, tracking, and analysis system for mission requests. Flight estimates we completed in half the time, and metrics were tracked.

Dallas/Fort Worth Area

Utilizing my background in GIS and Aviation, I work closely with our Senior Project Managers to turn our clients' surveying, aerial mapping, and geospatial needs into quality solutions and world class products.

Maryland

• Advised three test and evaluation teams, reducing costs by 5% during field testing for 5 multi-million dollar aviation systems, including helicopters, unmanned aerial vehicles, and missiles.
• Conceived and developed a new testing and evaluation method and strategy for the Army’s newest flight suit.

Texas/Afghanistan

• Rated a top 1% officer by Battalion and Brigade Commanding Officers
• Led a Company of 40 soldiers and eight attack helicopters with distinction in combat and created radically innovative tactics that increased mission success in Afghanistan by over 400%.
• Created, resourced, and implemented a tailored simulation training program in preparation for deployment, which saved $20,000 in fuel and maintenance costs over a three week period while still training new pilots for.
• Saved over $100,000 in shipping costs from Texas to Afghanistan by taking 70% less equipment and containers than authorized, bringing only what was needed to accomplish the mission. Lowest shipping costs of all 36.
• Increased voluntary participation in the Family Readiness Group by more than 300%, improving morale for the families of all 40 soldiers in my company.

Alabama, Kentucky, Texas, Iraq, Afghanistan

• 2000+ Total Flight hours (turbine engine, rotary wing), all accident free.
• 800+ Pilot In Command hours.
• 750+ Mountain (above 5000’MSL) flight hours.
• 650+ Night Flight hours (aided and unaided).
• Rated in AH-64D and Bell 206. FAA Commercial Instrument Rating.
• Graduate of the U.S. Army High Altitude Mountain Environment Training program at Fort Carson, Colorado.

Kentucky/Afghanistan

• Coordinated the command and control of over 100 aviation missions per month in Afghanistan, tracking aircraft and vehicles across a diverse battlefield, redirecting assets as necessary to accomplish each mission.
• Planned and resourced a successful 3-week, 550 person aviation training exercise which occurred over 1,200 miles from our base.
• Scheduled and coordinated the aerial movement of thousands of tons of equipment and personnel across Afghanistan, and traveled across the country teaching and coaching Infantry forces how to best use helicopters to.
• Utilized GIS and aerial/satellite imagery to determine ideal helicopter landing zones, flight routes, and supply drop points, as well as produce over 100 flight maps and graphics per month in Afghanistan.

Iraq/Kentucky

• Rated the #1 aviation platoon leader in the Battalion and a top 1% officer by my Commanding Officer.
• Led a platoon of 20 soldiers and four attack helicopters with distinction in Iraq, achieving Air Mission Commander status for exceptional leadership in combat after only 20 days of combat experience and ahead of my.
• Scheduled 21 aviation missions per week, balancing mission requirements with the needs and abilities of 16 pilots.
