I have been an American history teacher and a coach for the past 23 years. I spent the first 13 years of my career at Crowley High School, where I taught US History and coached football, baseball, and softball. I also served as the strength and conditioning coordinator for all sports throughout my tenure at Crowley High School, where I established both male and female powerlifting teams. In 2010, I moved to Apopka, Florida, where I acquired a job at Wekiva High School teaching AP and Honors US History and coaching football and softball. I currently teach AP US at Southside High School, where I also serve as the social studies department chairperson. My coaching responsibilities consist of being an assistant football coach as well as being the head coach of both the male and female powerlifting teams. Additionally, I am responsible for the strength and conditioning of athletes at Southside High. During the 2018-2019 school year, I was selected as Southside High School's "Teacher of the Year," only the second teacher to receive this distinction in the school's history.
