Monitor certifications and critical training of key personnel to ensure compliance. I successfully trained two Angolan HES Specialists during my tenure in Angola. Work closely with Superintendent, DSM, Contractor, and Third-party to ensure incident free operations. Coordinate and assemble teams for Hazard Hunts and conduct Quarterly Safety Stand Ups. Promote the Tenets of Operational Excellence and the Chevron Way. I was designated as Simops Controller for Mafumeira Sul Project and several projects in the Malongo field. Developed Emergency Response Plans, Bridging Documents, and Simops plans for various projects. 28/28 Rotation.

Ensure all equipment related to the drilling fluid system is clean, maintained, and operating properly. This position is responsible for all work above the rig floor. Make repairs when needed. Maintained log books for equipment and performed bi-weekly DROPS inspections in derrick. Ensured drilling fluids were properly maintained per Mud Engineer or Company Representative. This position involved actively training personnel to work in the derrick on land rigs. Assist and relieve Driller on the rig floor and participated in all company provided training and safety meetings while on a 7/7 rotation.

South Mississippi

This position ensures compliance with company policies and safe work practices. Assist the Rig Manager in audits, inspections, reporting, and investigations. Prepare necessary risk assessments, permits, and procedure for review with crews. This is an extra role that I took on to build my knowledge and skills in the areas of safety and industrial hygiene while working as a Motorman/Derrickman. Duties include conducting pre-tour and pre-job safety meetings, ensure all forms were filled out properly, signed, and understood by employees involved. Share Safety Alerts with crews and Operator. Complete daily, weekly, quarterly, and annual safety reports. Oversee that current safety bulletins are promptly discussed and conducted rig and equipment inspections. Ensure personnel training and competency is adequate and report directly to Superintendent. This job consists of approximately two extra hours per working day on a 7/7 rotation.

South Mississippi

Ensure all equipment is clean, maintained, and operating properly. Filled log sheets and maintenance cards for all equipment. Load and unload trucks. Ordered supplies for the rig as needed and assist the Driller on the rig floor. Ensure all PPE was in good condition and participate in all company provided training and safety meetings while on a 28/14 rotation.

In this position I took part in daily operations on rig floor. Assist Derrickhand with mixing of mud and chemicals. Ensured substructure, cellar, and drilling location were clean and painted as required. Performed flow checks.
