I am a scientist with a passion for facilitating the open dissemination of scientific information and data and for using science as a medium to build community. My educational background is in paleontology, through which I have a wide-ranging set of professional experiences with colleges & universities, federal agencies, museums, and other non-profits. I am a leading expert in the study of extinct amphibians and have expertise in aspects of research scholarship, as well as eight years of experience in teaching, mentoring, and training in various academic and non-academic settings. I am always searching for ways to put my esoteric set of skills and experiences to work serving the academic and research communities.Currently, I am the Open Research Coordinator for Data and Software in the UT Libraries, where I collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders to provide guidance and assistance to researchers with research management practices including data and software sharing and data curation.
