Highly experience weighbridge operator in Boral's busiest quarry, as well as maintenance administration duties (Oracle.) I can also operated heavy machinery (Haul: CAT 773, 777, 773 watercart, Volvo articulated. FEL: CAT 980, 988, 992. HR non synchro NSW road license etc)Whilst studying science at university I took '6 months' off halfway through to re-consider my future and ended up with a job at Emu Plains Quarry. In the end I have stayed here, but now the site is due to close I need to start again somewhere else! Unfortunately I never got back to finish the degree and the credits are no longer valid.I do enjoy the scale of the industry and would like to pursue a career in a staff orientated roll, be it in extractive industries or logistics.

Through a love of the hobby and a hunger for technical knowledge I followed an opportunity to trial as a technical journalist for 4WD Action (then known as 4WD Monthly) - the largest selling publication of it's kind in Australia - with great success. I ended up as the main technical writer for the magazine working in a freelance arrangement for many years and have over 100 published articles including photography to date.I still occasionally work for EMG however a young family has made juggling two jobs a bit more complicated and as such am no longer a frequent contributor for the last few years.
