Observed that machinery break-down and poultry diseases affected production, productivity, and efficiency at the Plants. Researched on Big Data and brought awareness to the company on how they could potentially leverage on technology to further improve their efficiency and production. One of the ideas showcased was to analyse data collected on machineries to predict when machines would fail and carry out preventive maintenance before it occurred. By doing so, production processes would be more efficient as machine breakdowns would not hinder production processes. Another idea presented was to utilize the different sounds chickens made in an abnormal state to determine which chicken was potentially ill. This would enable the chickens to be treated to minimise losses of chickens due to illness. Overall, brought attention to how they could use different data to solve problems faced at that time.
