I have been building watercraft, specifically hovercraft for 30 years, 20 years commercially. In 1993, while attending Western Washington University I meet Barry Palmer, a mechanical engineer trained at UC Berkley. It was then I began learning the science and technology behind these unique vehicles. In 1997 I started Amphibious Marine Inc My business began by building Barry Palmer designs that he marketed under Sevtec Incorporated. He worked as NASA engineer with a long career in commercial aerospace, including designing parts or the moon lander and many other personal firsts. Barry Palmer built the first “ultralight” aircraft registered in the world. He also was one of the first few people to begin the modern hang gliding movement in the USA. In the late 1960s he started designing hovercraft for his own personal use and eventually retired in 2005 having built some 40 different prototype vehicles and created a huge following worldwide. Today I design in 3D with Solidworks, Rhino, SolidCAM, SheetCAM and many other applications to design and build craft for personal and commercial use.
