• Spearhead the development of the mechanical architecture and platforms for all cooking products within the Electrolux global brand portfolio for hobs, ovens, hoods, and ranges produced in 14 separate factories. • Attend and contribute to company-wide meetings with executives and stakeholders to discuss overall goal achievement, report project progress, and plan upcoming initiatives. • Orchestrate the operations of an R&D organization, the administration of the associated budget, and the activities of a staff of 180 engineering professionals across nine global tech centers. • Pinpoint and capitalize upon strategic opportunities to elevate efficiency, quality, and productivity within the lifecycle of platforms and architectures for Food Preparation.• Present proposals to executive leaders to secure buy-in for changes to existing procedures or standards or the development of new capacities and or meet future agency requirements.• Maintain oversight of the project management office, driving the on-time and within-scope completion of all projects for Food Preparation through effective workflow coordination and collaboration between distributed teams and functions.• Participate in the restructuring of R&D to its present state of centralization to best leverage engineering solutions on a global scale.

• Provided leadership, direction, and motivation to an R&D team of over 200 members in delivering the most competitive cooking Product Architecture in NA for ranges and wall ovens. • Led a project that slashed part complexity in NA by over half and attained competitive advantage through better steel utilization, fewer parts, and fewer fasteners; recognized for best-in-class levels of quality at launch.• Guided the implementation of a strategy to employ induction technology from Europe in the US to launch a line of low-cost induction cooking products; enabled Electrolux to gain the largest market share of induction cooking products in NA. • Governed the R&D element of a Canadian factory closure; transitioned their products to a new factory in Memphis, TN. • Established a searchable database of all competitive products to facilitate the identification and comparison of various industry solutions. • Cultivated and nurtured an environment of continuous improvement through training and various initiatives; Initiated the Sigma Science training in Springfield and promoted a mindset of understanding variation, sponsored and mentored the local continuous improvement managers and assisted them to promote an adherence to best practice and relevant regulatory guidelines. • Championed the introduction of several R&D processes to assure robust product designs despite a multi-site engineering base, many of which were adopted for continued use. • Defined and enforced performance metrics for the precise tracking of progress towards organizational objectives. • Prospected, qualified, negotiated, and closed a partnership with a third-party engineering firm in a low-cost region to augment local resources, expand critical competencies, benchmark the competition, and build a flexible resource pool for mega projects to remove the need to try and hire locally.

• Supervised the creation and integration of five global technology teams for food preparation: Electronics, Gas Systems, Induction, Steam Cooking, and Microwave; harmonized operations across locations and between functions to ensure alignment of objectives, share interdisciplinary knowledge, and collaboratively resolve arising issues. • Prioritized and delegated assignments to teams responsible to development technology modules related to the five systems above for use in any architecture in any region of the world. • Sustained up-to-date knowledge of emerging technological/methodological advancements for potential functionality enhancement or feature introduction.• Controlled the allocation of a €17M+ budget, as well as non-financial resources including materials, equipment, and human capital.• Coordinated the work of teams tasked with completing technology projects in support of the four local R&D and generation plans in North America, Europe, Latin America, and Asia Pacific.
