I help people succeed. It’s that simple. Whether that’s helping individual students, managing IT projects, writing curriculum, helping coworkers, or sleuthing through data, my goal is to help people, organizations, and communities be successful. What does success look like? It’s individuals feeling like they are capable and that they belong. It’s building successful organizations and teams that are grounded in their values, and it is communities that are made up of individuals and families that are connected and hopeful.How have I done this? –with a lot of help! No one builds an organization that serves tens of thousands of students each semester without a lot of help. I’ve been blessed to be part of the original team that started BYU-Pathway Worldwide. I know what it feels like to be in start-up mode and how to transition to a scalable global leader in higher ed. Here are just a few of the projects I’ve been a part of.•Directed and helped write the PathwayConnect curriculum (three courses) which integrates math and writing with life and professional skills. Each semester this program helps thousands of students from around the world prepare for college•Directed the development of a custom Student Information System (SIS) called PATH. This program is now the backbone of BYU-Pathway Worldwide systems and integrates with many different systems and schools.•Implemented a global English language placement exam. Through heavy collaboration with BYU, BYU-Hawaii, and BYU-Idaho I lead a team to deliver an English placement exam that used by tens of thousands of students each year. •Helped create and establish the Pathway brand. Launched the first Pathway website, logo, and style guide. Established presence on social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest. Developed marketing campaigns for online courses, certificates, and degrees.•Helped establish student services including admissions, registration, student records, transcripts, bursar, matriculation, advising and supportMore importantly, I’ve sat in homes of students from around the world, from the most privileged to the humblest. I’ve talked to them about their hopes and dreams. We laughed together, cried together and prayed together. I know what they're facing. I know what they’re sacrificing to gain an education –and I’m committed to their success.
