As a Specialty Gases Operator, my job is to load product into modules, cylinders and tonners with specific gases as specified by the buyer of different capacities for over the road and over sea shipment. Monitor through specialized computer programs the pressures, temperatures and fill densities of each job. Run samples through gas chromatograph machines and sample them to ensure customer is receiving the highest quality gas without any contamination. Other duties include operating equipment to move modules, 40 foot trailers,cylinders and tonners throughout our department. Monitor fire safety systems, monthly emergency squad fire fighting training and lockout/tagout of equipment due for preventative maintenance.

My duties as underground construction, my team and I would build vent walls and vent curtains to manage air flow, build sand walls and prepare sill accesses for sand pours, welding grizzly frames and set grizzlies for muck passes, sta-form and shotcrete sand walls, vent curtains, lay downs and muck piles. Other duties include setting up pumps for sumps, plumb air and water lines for sill accesses, footfalls and drill water reservoirs, install fans, pour concrete and install air doors to control air flow through the mine. Drill and install ground support with jackleg, operate haul trucks to tram muck to passes and operate front end loader to load trucks. As my time there, I became a certified trainer as well as a lead operator and fill in supervisor.

Monitored daily activities to identify and manage suspicious behavior, improper conduct and signs of conflict. Assigned inmates to open and appropriate housing units, inspect cells and conduct searches of common areas. Supervised inmates during day to day activities and monitored behavior to prevent crimes. Firearms training was conducted annually.
