I was one of the principal liaison to Houston City Hall specifically the Office of the Vice Mayor Pro Tem, and to the public and media relations staffs at all times. I provide executive-level support, coordinate events and ensure that the City is running smoothly. I also crafted policy to alleviate some operational challenges to positively improve systems for the end user; Houston Citizens. While operating in that capacity, I began building what is now known as SmartScaping. From past government operations experience, organizational leadership, problem solving, and understanding of process creation, management, and improvement we launch an organization that fill services gaps for a niche client base: government entities. Over the past decade we’ve grown exponentially and we are in a really cool space that we’re looking for a team that matches the company culture which is a commitment to improving the quality of life for our clients, employees, and the community at large.Served on boards and in leadership in higher education and municipalities, done some work in aiding corporations improve processes and streamline workflow. Interned in really cool DoD project management and efficiency evaluation team that wrote and lobbied legislation at congress. Developed events to honor historical figures and organize folks around ideologies for change. Volunteered in developing youth in building their entrepreneurship passion.
