I started my career in healthcare at the age of 18 through the training and experience that I gained from the military. I served five years active duty as a Hospital Corpsman in the US Navy, and in that time I was able to learn first hand patient care and eventually went on to be a team lead for a primary care clinic. After the military, I continued my healthcare experience by working various jobs in the Las Vegas area, such as pediatric urgent care and pain management. I am also a senior at UNLV and the classroom knowledge that I have gained has helped me better understand the healthcare industry. I am excited to graduate, but mostly I am excited to put my skills and knowledge to the test and make a positive impact on the health outcomes of this nation.
