Initial trade background as an Electrician, moved into the environmental industry as an environmental technician for BP Australia. As a contractor also performed works for Tech environmental dealing with major fuel companies, multi phase extraction a major focus. Moved onto Transpacific Industries Group initially as a supervisor later securing position of business unit Manager of Hydrocarbons. This role involved contaminated site remediation / emergency response with a specialty team throughout Australia and New Zealand.Duties include •Managing sub-contractors, employees and general site works.•Preparation and submission of tenders.•Financials, budgets and forecasting. Monitor and approve invoicing and purchasing with company financial system (JDE)•Customer liaisons, business development • Inter-company liaisons, communicate with mangers both in Australia / New Zealand as to scope resources / plant / suppliers as works on a national basis•Monitor quality of works / systems through projects ensuring all sub-contractors and employees.•Maintaining a safe workplace by identifying and eliminating or putting systems in place to control hazards.•Giving task specific training where necessary to personnel who may not have experience with that particular task.
