Eleven years experience living in and running a residential program with a military component. Provided a safe and appropriate home for 10-11 adolescent boys. Developed and implemented interventions such as behavior modification and personal development plans, under the supervision of the VP of Academic Affairs or his designees. Participated in teacher-parent conferences regarding students' progress or problems as needed.

Interviewed and hired Assistant Family teachers. Managed a residential program; working with eight teenage boys, through DCFS, who were abused and neglected, who had behavioral disorders, learning disabilities, and emotional disorders. Supervised a staff of three Assistant Family Teachers and provided education, training, consultations, and evaluations. Conducted weekly staff meetings and weekly family meetings with the youth to maintain routine communication. Wrote Mental Health Assessments, Individual Treatment Plans, Case Review Plans, Progress Reports, Incident Reports, and Daily Shift Summaries. Maintained routine contact with DCFS to coordinate services for youth such as vouchers, visitation with family, and future placement planning. Advocated for the youth's rights and best interest in court hearings, staffings, case reviews, education planning, and future placement planning. Served as an educational surrogate. Arranged and monitored court ordered family and sibling visits. Planned and supervised group activities, including annual summer camp in Eagle River, WI. Managed all program budgeting.
