Electrical Engineer involved in designing a multitude of projects including, secondary education, sports field lighting, exterior lighting, corporate office fit-out and remodel, healthcare, mechanical systems upgrade and various other projects. Responsible for power-line to light switch design and specification. Experience in the design and specification of medium voltage and low voltage switchgear, commercial kitchen design, various buiding automation systems, building and site wide lighting and lighting controls, power system distribution and most other building electrical functions design. Work individually with architects, owners and owners representatives to assist in selection of equipment, system design and selection to best meet the client's needs. Superior client interface skills and abililty to help clients find solutions and design requirements they may not fully see or understand. Participate in municipal zoning meetings to assist in explanation and approval of designs that may require modification or special approval for current zoning laws. Evaluate contractor design modification requests for cost saving impacts for client and feasability for optimum electrical system design and function.
