Technical Support Engineer Iii
Responsibilities include acting as SME and highest level of escalation within EMBARQ on the following systems: Signaling Transfer Point (STP), Signaling Control Point (SCP) databases, E911 systems, Network Monitoring and Analysis (NMA), and SS7 protocol analysis. Track and analyze performance data to ensure all operational objectives are met/exceeded for these systems. Perform acceptance testing on hardware and software components of these systems. Prepare written reports on symptoms, actions, root cause analysis, and customer impact on major outages by gathering information from all fix agents involved in the troubleshooting and repair of outages. Define, select, and implement Irreversible Corrective Actions (ICA) to avoid future problems. Develop action plans, schedules, policies and procedures, and deliverables to implement the selected ICA.
