Lead Network Operations Center Engineer
CurrentManage and provide support for a multi-state network of research and education institutions. I support equipment and service upgrades, monitor and diagnose issues with BGP, IS-IS, optical layer, general routing and switching, and hardware stability, and provide over-the-phone support to most public universities, K-12 schools, and libraries in the state of California. I am also heavily involved in streamlining internal processes involving change control, documentation, ticket handling, and operational readiness for new devices and services on our network.Training:- Two-day custom Juniper training: implementation and management solutions in a CENIC environment using BGP, IS-IS, VRRP and more. - Selected to attend Juniper's NXTWORK in 2019: attended multiple sessions to learn about various Juniper solutions to modern problems. - Cisco Optical Training: learned optical technologies like DWDM and how to manage optical infrastructures through CTC.- American Management Association training: Learned how to efficiently execute goals and maximize team collaboration efforts.
