Transactions are processed between the retail energy company (ESPs), regulatory agencies, 3rd-party transaction service providers, and grid operators (LDCs). Platform included web portal modules for operational staff, customer service staff, financial management staff and a business intelligence dashboard for executive management. (Transaction Level 50k – 200k messages/day).

Led development of next generation logistics risk management application, which utilizes data from the Advanced Trade Data Initiative, to assist in targeting suspect cargo for inspection by customs interdiction teams. Analyzes trade data and open source intelligence to establish risk at the Conveyance, Shipment, and Container levels. Biztalk and SQL Server system translates industry EDI/XML into a common fused-data architecture. Risk analysis engine determines risk on several dimensions. Fused data is loaded into a data mart for querying/presentation. UI is web based utilizing Ajax and custom query builder. Integration with Microsoft CRM allowed for analysts to work from queues and use workflows to route work.

Designed and developed an asset tracking and patch management product. Utilized various system scanning techniques (WMI, SNMP). Integrated several third-party vulnerability intelligence feeds (Symantec DeepSight, NVD, CVE, Sintelli, etc). Developed the industry’s first vulnerability intelligence data feed that provides a CVSS (Common Vulnerability Scoring System) risk model – which is an emerging industry standard. Clearwater, Florida

Led conversion of HSN’s legacy ASP3/COM based web application to ASP.NET. Conversion was a great success. Developed a framework and custom server controls, which allowed us to convert additional systems ahead of schedule. Developed EDI portal for use by HSN’s drop ship vendors to collect and process orders. This allowed HSN to discontinue paying for an EDI VAN and saves hundreds of thousands of dollars for HSN annually. The portal handles hundreds of thousands of orders daily.
