Taking up this role has been, from my personal perspective, a real privilege. The IYF is a not for profit organisation dedicated exclusively to meeting the needs of vulnerable children and youngsters people living throughout the RoI. We raise funds through building relationships with individuals and businesses who want to help shape a more inclusive and fairer Ireland. We distribute those funds through our carefully-targeted grant-making activities, supporting impressive organisations and impactful projects and programmes that address and reverse the social and personal damage caused by poverty, educational disadvantage, homelessness and social exclusion experienced by children and young people.

Managing Partner of William Fry for 6 years, having served on the Firm’s Executive for many years. Led the Firm during a period of transformation in the Firm - in terms of growth, leading and supporting key changes in practice specialisations and excellence, international focus and culture change. Named “European Managing Partner of the Year, 2018” at the prestigious The Lawyer European Awards in London in 2018.I was also a member of the Irish Business and Employers Confederation (IBEC) CEO forum, the National Council, from 2017 until November 2020.

A Partner since 1999, after a period serving as joint Head, I became Head, of William Fry's Corporate Department in 2008. Extensive experience in corporate transactional work, having advised on some of the largest public and private M&A/takeover deals in Ireland in recent years. I also advised on joint ventures, fundraisings, restructurings and broader corporate governance issues. During much of this time I also served on our Executive Committee.
