I currently influence behaviors by leveraging data-driven insights, reporting, and key measures to identify opportunities for growth. I especially love leveraging data to improve the experience of others. I am that guy who observes, tests & makes suggestions based on data to achieve the desired outcome. In my spare time, I like to empower nonprofit organizations to make better decisions based on their data. I recently worked on (and won) a hackathon in supporting Chesapeake Bay conservation. I and a team of other data-focused folks analyzed the potential causes of bay pollution and developed a predictive model for total nitrogen pollution. I also volunteer as a pro bono data scientist with DataKind, currently working with New America’s Future of Property Rights program to study housing instability and displacement across the United States.Key Accomplishments:• 7+ years analyzing data and communicating outcomes• Utilize Microsoft Suite, Tableau and Python to analyze data and create presentations, reports, strategies & training documents. Through virtual or in-person client presentations & explanation of analysis help senior leadership make data informed decisions.• Recommended a set framework of contests for clients including length, type of prizes and structure to generate the largest ROI from past contest analysis utilizing R and hypothesis testing, this led to a 20% YOY increase in client customer acquisition over 10 months• Successfully expanded Nordstrom's Mobile POS system both in development & utilization from 35 to 185 transactional iPods & 35 iPads in-store• Identified a gap in data utilization, executed a process for customer outreach to drive both sales and service, post Nordstrom’s annual sale.
