Maintenance Crew Leader
Current• Effectively communicates daily with engineers, contractors, equipment representatives, and crew members regarding technical work orders and projects.• Interview, train, and mentor new employees on safety procedures and daily operations. Ensured crew members were given the information and tools needed to be successful.• Maintain a working knowledge of wastewater treatment chemicals and required safety procedures.• Oversee the electrical and mechanical repair and maintenance of all high service pumps, VFDs, blowers, UV disinfection system, membrane filtration, generators, and circuitry throughout the city system that services more than 23,000 residential, commercial and industrial customers.• Order lab testing materials requiring knowledge of Georgia EPD regulations and reporting.• Maintain SCADA system operations and control for wastewater plant.• Maintain and repair 4 wastewater pumps capable of 5 MGD and provide on-call supervision for emergencies such as flooding for when wastewater plant pumps exceeded 2.5 MGD.• Understand microfiltration system consisting of 750 gpm per cassette with 12 cassettes and 48 membrane filters per cassette. • Serviced city wastewater lift stations.• Coordinate with Public Works departments to employ additional work crew as needed. Lead up to 12 crew members for large projects.• Handle inventory control and purchasing for the electrical and mechanical items, including new equipment, chemicals, and laboratory supplies for the wastewater plant.
