​Ellen Bryan is a television talk show host, health coach, author and speaker. Every day, she helps people get to know their community better as a TV host in Washington, D.C. on WUSA9's Great Day Washington. In addition to speaking on stages from TEDx to corporate events, she also coaches women to find their individual, optimal health.Ellen's newest title is "mom." She and her husband, DC's radio and TV personality Reese Waters, are navigating the parenting journey to a toddler girl and baby boy.While spending more than a decade working in morning television, Ellen learned the importance of a morning routine. She's created two tools to help you start your day with success. First, her book A Work in Progress and also A Work in Progress Journal. Ellen competed in Miss America as Miss Ohio 2011. She was named a Quality of Life Finalist for her work promoting lightning safety, a platform she chose after her sister, Christina, was struck by lightning in June of 2000. Ellen shared her sister's influence on her own life with a TEDx talk in 2019.Ellen graduated from Ball State University. She started her broadcasting career at ABC 36 in Lexington, Kentucky. She then joined the NBC 5 team in Dallas - Fort Worth, Texas before moving to our nation's capital.
