A few years back, I headed out to iconic San Francisco venue, Bottom of The Hill, to see a friend's band play. Luckily, I stuck around and caught the band that followed. Oh yes, I was smitten by the stage presence of the singer, Rebecca Bortman. In the fall of 2014, my band Scissors For Lefty shared a bill with Rebecca's band at Bottom of The Hill. Dressed in an Elvis themed Dia De Los Muertos costume, I worked up the courage to propose on-stage. Rebecca screamed out an expletive that included translated to a big "Yes".Did we continue our expression of love on stage from that point forward? We absolutely did. We wrote a full-fledged rock opera for our wedding ceremony. It took all of our family and friends to pull off. It was our proudest work of art to date. Love, Jerks.
