District Manager
CurrentADVANCED AUTO PARTS, (CARQUEST), San Diego, CA• Provide operational oversight for 13 retail/wholesale locations throughout southern California for largest retailer of automotive replacement parts and accessories achieving over $14M in annual district sales.• Recruit and manage the performance of individual store managers including training, mentorship and supporting advancement opportunities. • Oversee stores’ performances, perform process and inventory audits and analyses, identify negative trends and histories, and implement mitigation remedies.• Ensure store managers and team compliance with brand standards, excellence in customer services, accurate product education, and visual merchandising that improves the customer experience. • Develop individual store performance goals; provide guidance on labor cost controls and improved scheduling, and ensure the proper mix of full-time and part-time team members.• Report to VP of operations, prepare quarterly profit and loss senior level presentations, and ensure alignment with evolving corporate priorities.• Ensure store and team members’ compliance with all corporate safety policies and OSHA regulations.Achievements:• Achieved $14.1M in district sales in 2018 through improved visual merchandising, program implementation and excellent customer service standards including electronic catalogue lookup, POS displays, and accurate parts inventory/identification. • Implemented wholesale driver risk mitigation program successfully reducing vehicle accident costs $67K year-to-date over previous year with zero workman compensation claims.• Successfully trained Store Managers mentoring successful District Manager and Field Risk Mitigation Manager candidates.• Reduced store shrinkage through deployment of improved shrink and inventory controls, improved reporting methodologies, and retraining on practices.• Consistently a top performer in overtime control and payroll management to budget.
