In this role I design precision adjustment mechanisms for optical systems, as well as thermal management solutions for high output light sources. I have extensive hands on experience in collecting real world data and using FEA tools to validate my designs (structural,natural frequency studies, CFD).Some other notable activities include the design/support of tooling and fixtures used in the manufacturing process, and analyzing performance data of tools currently in the field to ensure they meet customer standards.

As an intern I had the opportunity to work on various projects that encompassed the various products we make. One project I'm most proud of is a heavy lifting fixture for our IMPUSLE tool that makes it safer to transport and deploy to the field. Through this project I became more familiar with solidworks FEA, which was used to verify the structural integrity of this design.Other Intern Projects:-Designed a FOUP purge system to mitigate the buildup of AMC contamination on silicon wafers.-Assist in customer escalations by conducting particle testing on metrology tools to characterize and identify the source of particle emissions and excursions.-Built up complex CAD assemblies for optical systems to mirror an existing bill of materials.
