Computational Psychiatry and Affective Cognitive Neuroscience Lab -Currently collaborating with 2 assistant specialist peers (4 past), actively supervising 4 research assistants (8 past RAs), 2 postdoctoral mentors, and 2 graduate students under the supervision of 2 principal investigators, Dr. Sonia Bishop and Dr. Sheri Johnson, conducting two NIMH studies that aim to delineate component processes contributing to probabilistic decision-making and to increase our understanding which aspects of these processes are disrupted in anxiety and depression - Studies that I will co-author upon completion and publication of the manuscripts- Responsible for coordination and recruitment of subjects (2600+ participants), submitting protocol amendments to the International Review Board, managing recruitment milestone reports, and collaborates with PI and other fellow team members to prepare and harmonize datasets in accordance with the requirements for NIMH’s national data archive- Processes and analyzes pre-screening data to select potential participants with desired characteristics (high trait anxiety and high trait depression)- Conducts structured clinical diagnostic interviews for DSM-5 disorders (administered 100+ hours of SCIDs), reliability meetings, risk assessments and runs fMRI experimental sessions with psychophysiological devices, psychological assessments and computerized behavioral tasks (400+ hours of scanning sessions logged)- Reconciles lab reimbursement requests, interviews/hires potential lab candidates, trains/onboards new lab personnel, protocol amendments/renewals, responsible for coordinating compensation of study participants and several other administrative duties- Plans and coordinates lab socials, meetings, calendars, and website design

As a RA, I focused on participant recruitment and interaction for a qualitative study investigating group psilocybin therapy. My role supported gathering insights into the therapeutic potential of psilocybin in group settings, contributing to the growing body of research on alternative mental health treatments

- Focuses on the intersection of cognitive development and artificial intelligence- Administers applied machine causal learning experiments to study participants- Assists with data analysis (Python), data collection and study design for multiple projects - Collaborates with post-graduate students in creating stimuli and procedures for experiments- Recruits, screens, consents, coordinates, and schedules testing appointments with participants (manages lab testing calendar)- Performs many administrative duties, including overseeing data collection, facilitating effective engagement between fellow research assistants and ensuring all recruitment and testing of participants follow IRB approved protocol(s) - Helps train and interview new research assistants in the lab and assists graduate students, postdocs and hosts lab meetings for the lab manager when needed- Attends weekly meetings with DeepMind Labs to discuss the backend coding of the machine learning programs that are being compared to children’s performances- Assists in ordering and maintaining inventory of office or study supplies- Assists in writing (LaTex) for article publications for academic journals
