Overseeing and guiding the efforts of QA team members located in Gatineau, Montreal, Cambridge, and Irvine, using proactive management of resources to help Paysafe Group deliver high quality products to our customers while building an environment of trust and collaboration with my team members. QA Manager for the Caseware RCM product. In this position I've had the opportunity to build a Quality Assurance team from an initial start with 3 testers to my current team of 8, and our growth continues. My duties have included the establishing of processes for creation of Test Plans, Test Cases, and Requirements Traceability, weekly status updates to all stakeholders, estimations for test effort and delivery, assessment of resource requirements for both manual and automated testing, hiring of new employees for both co-op and full time positions, tracking and reporting of defect levels, and providing guidance and mentoring to the members of my team.

I joined a dynamic and very flexible team with Quest, and very much enjoyed my time with the company. During my career with the company, I saw through the release of a number of software products from initial planning to final RTM, including Quest MessageStats, Quest Spotlight on Exchange, Quest Spotlight on Active Directory, and Quest NDS Migrator. Most recently I was working as QA Team Lead for the latter two products.My previous experience with hardware and software resulted in my working both as a tester and as a lab administrator; I regularly built and administered Active Directory domains, using Microsoft NT, Server 2000, 2003, and 2008. In the last few years Quest has moved to using virtualization to cut down on hardware costs, and I have been had the opportunity to work extensively with VMWare and ESX server configurations, creating and maintaining AD domains consisting of between five and twenty+ servers, with multiple sites and servers in multiple languages. Standard testing of our products included localization testing in French and German, in multiple Windows environments including NT, 2000, 2003, 2008, XP, Vista, and beta work in Windows 7.Most of my experience in planning for software releases was using the traditional 'waterfall' style, however in the past 18 months we adopted the Agile format of testing, and I find it's 'sprint' based approach very effective, allowing for better communications between developers and testers and a far greater flexibility in adapting to changing customer situations. I believe that Agile is the future of software development.

Started with Corel as a Technical Support rep for the CorelSCSI product line. The job entailed close work with customers, both live (phone) and through electronic communication. (I took care of the Corel Compuserve support site, along with front-line phone support.) The last three years of my time with Corel I moved to Quality Control, working with Corel PhotoPAINT and heading up the Corel KnockOut team. I left Corel to join Quest.

I joined ElectroSystems after the closure of the IBM dealership in Eaton’s. In this position I handled a wide variety of responsibilities both in house and on customer job sites, including system building and software configuration, network installations (cabling and software), and upkeep of Microsoft and Novell Netware networks. I left to join Corel Corporation when the opportunity was offered.

I worked as primary technician in building and configuring IBM personal computers, as well as providing technical advice and assistance to the sales team.
