I seek a position as an Medical Services Technician to expand my skills as a medical professional and obtain clinical experience for my continued secondary medical education, while simultaneously contributing to a department which provides appropriate emergency medical interventions to those in need with a sense of humble servitude. After initial training, and several years of military service and rec-ertification, I have developed a professional and competent set of medical skills including, but not limited to: maintaining cervical spine stability for a patient of a crash or fall; irrigating and bandaging lacerations, abrasions, and contusions; applying tourniquets to physical trauma; converting emergency tourniquets to sustained pressure bandages; obtaining intravenous and intraosseous access to administer medication and fluids; splinting and securing injured limbs; movement of patients from point of injury to ambulance, to hospital bed; obtaining a reliable set of vital signs, through electronic or manual methods; obtaining a rough assessment of a patient, including history of injury or illness, pain scale, and family history; administering medications ranging from NSAIDS to narcotics under supervision of a Registered Nurse, Pharmacy Technician, or M.D.
