Canton, Ohio Area

Manage all state and local tax matters affecting all U.S. business enterprises including state and local income, gross receipts, sales and use, personal property, real estate, franchise and various annual report and business license returns. Responsible for all U.S. state and local tax matters including compliance, research, planning, advisory, audit, litigation, and legislative functions for the 33 states in which we do business and the 1,600+ returns that we file annually. Ensure compliance with U.S. state and local tax laws and regs, minimizing taxes and optimizing cash flows while reducing potential tax audit exposure. Responsible for all state and local tax accrual and J/E calcs and related tax acctg matters based on actual and forecasted financial results for annual, quarterly and monthly financial statement purposes including all FAS 109 and provision work. Develop and implement short-term and long-range strategic tax plans and oversee all SALT planning strategies.

Sr. Manager within Multi-State tax group based out of Cleveland, Ohio. Also northeastern Ohio Sales/Use Tax practice leader heading up a group of 11 sales tax associates for compliance and consulting engagmenets with $1M annual revenue goals.
